Minutes of Special Board of Director’s Meeting
                   April 9, 2015
Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister Duplicate Bridge Club
                       Unit 524

Present: President Jonna Robinson, Vice-president Kenneth Johnson, Treasurer Vincent McLoughlin, Secretary Dian Wood Picone.  

I.    Discussion of Proposal to transfer the Monday Morgan Hill Club and the Gilroy Club to Patty and Win Stone:
a)  The Board is concerned that participation in these games is declining and that privatizing the games by transferring them to the Stones has the potential of improving health and longevity of the games. Win is already taking on numerous responsibilities and Patty teaches classes. These tasks that they currently do are ones that ACBL bridge game owners do in other units. Transferring game ownership to them would formalize the current situation.

b)  The Board will research the process by which the transfer is likely to proceed.  The Vice-President has a copy of the Santa Cruz Unit’s contract with private games which he will distribute for review as a possible template for Unit 524.
c) The Stones will be invited to discuss the matter further at the April 19th Board meeting.
Discussion as to whether the matter should be discussed with the membership and if so, when, is tabled.
