Present: President Jonna Robinson, Vice-President Ken Johnson, Treasurer Vincent McLoughlin, Secretary Dian Wood Picone
I. Minutes of May meetings approved.
II. Treasurer’s Report approved.
Old Business.
a.) A copy of the 2014 rental agreement for the Senior Center was in past President Suzanne Proctor’s records.
While the agreement states there is “no charge,” the Unit has been paying $2 per player for the Unit and Monday games
it may be that this is an agreed upon donation. The VicePresident will check with Win to determine if he’s aware of the
basis for the $2 fee.
b.) The contract for the Stones’ takeover of the Monday and Thursday games will be finalized after review in November.
The Stones have talked about raising the fee per player for Special Games. The Board has no objection.
The contractshould contain a provision apportioning responsibility between the Stones and the Unit for repair and/or replacement
of the Unit’s equipment, namely, the main computer, Bridgemates and the boards.
IV. New Business.
a.) Donation to “Want to Play Bridge” approved. The Board will reimburse Suzanne Proctor in the amount of $500 towards
the airfare of the two designees.
b.) Diana Dragt has resigned as Club Manager. ACBL has been informed that Win Stone is now the Club Manager.
c.) The Unit game has Directors through August but must find new Directors for subsequent games. At present,
President Jonna Robinson is the only Director available. The Vice-President has begun discussions with likely candidates
and he and Win Stone will look for others.
d.) The Board discussed candidates for Vice-President in the 2016 term.
e.) The Secretary will keep Jackie Zay
ac informed as to whether she should attend the July Board meeting.
f.) The Board discussed having a Pro/Am game. Win will be consulted as to holding it at his Thursday game instead
of a Unit game as has been customary.
