Prior minutes were read and approved.
Treasury report:
The treasurer reported that there was no change in status from May. The e-postcard was given to Ken Johnson to scan and enter into the database. Although the e-postcard is only required every three years, John suggested that we file the 199 e-postcard every year to maintain continuity from board to board. The net worth is $16,733 in the bank. Cash flow was $245 for the unit minus the director, snack and a ACBL fees.
There will be a unit came on Saturday, August 5 in Hollister.
The attendance trends have remained stable.
Earthquake sectional:
Mark Moore, the chairperson for the earthquake sectional, is to send a flyer to the forum out in August /September. We are still in need of a hospitality chair person.
Unit Calendar:
An update on the website would be beneficial to get all club special games into the master calendar.
New members:
Betty Roberts is a new member to Unit 524
New business:
A new mentoring program was discussed. It was suggested researching a model from a program used in the past.
Directors: The question of whether we need more directors was introduced. There was discussion about where we can get them, but no resolution was reached.
Social media: A discussion about establishing a social media page for unit 524 was brought up. The consensus was that it would be beneficial if we could find someone to be the page monitor.
Linda King, the membership board member, has the duty of "sunshine" to handle correspondence to members who are ill and condolences to families with members who have passed away.
New life masters will be recognized via email.
The board approved $100 to send flowers in gratitude for Linda King's service to the unit upon her retirement from her Hollister club game.
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted, Joanne Wicker
