Board meeting minutes from May 25, 2017

 

John Beebe, Ken Johnson, Lyle Supp and Joanne Wicker were in attendance. Linda King was absent.

 

April minutes were approved.

 

Treasurer report by John Beebe:

 

$9830.44 are in checking with $7009.13 for the money market account. Expenses from the unit lunch games were received.

 

Unit games:

 

The unit game with Lunch and Lesson cost about $270. Ken Johnson will provide the lesson and snacks for the July Unit game. Lyle Supp will host the third and last Lunch and Lesson of the year on October 15th. For regularly scheduled unit games, it was decided to continue Unit food support with a budget of $50.

 

Attendance:

 

The trends for attendance are consistent. The Thursday game is improving at the greatest rate.

 

Christmas party:

 

The facility for the Christmas party was toured and the response was positive. The facility is looking forward to having us and will provide tables and chairs. The price per person has yet to be determined.

 

Earthquake sectional:

 

There will be a 99er game on Sunday.

 

Unit calendar:

 

Special games have been added to the master calendar. WIn Stone has not determined a date for a club or member championship game at this point. NAP will be added to the calendar when district 21 determines the times and places.

Ken Johnson will speak to the webmaster about updating the unit calendar.

 

Tax exempt status:

 

John Beebe did in-depth research regarding the tax exempt status. He spoke with Harvey Brody and was referred to Stu Goodgold. Stu Goodgold then completed the federal E – postcard 990 – N for our unit. The state form 199–N will be done by our unit treasurer.

 

Rank recognition:

 

Members that achieve new rankings will be recognized on the website as well as an email to the members.

 

New business:

 

The board members were asked to consider questions for a survey to be sent to the members.
